A wonderful example of this iconic  mug produced for the notorious Alnwick election of 1826. Decorated with a transfer of the protagonist H T Liddell and decorated with broad pink lustre bands and infill. 

Circa 1826

Approx - 5 inches (125mm) tall.

In very good condition save for a historic repair to the rim and minor nibbles to the base.
