Description:

A quality frog mug from Moore & Co of Sunderland featuring an overpainted transfer of a 'West View Over The River Wear ' and a maritime verse beginning 'Now weigh the anchor' surrounded by a garland of flowers. The Frog is bulbous shaped with the eyes and lips picked out in purple, charming!

Circa 1840

Approx - 4.75 inches ( 120mm) tall.

In very good condition throughout save a 25mm hairline from rim to the ship above the verse.
