A fine jug from the Garrison Pottery of Sunderland. On one side a ship, in full sail, above the inscription - Going Into Port
On the reverse side, below a faint image of a ram, a verse wishing success to the sheep farmers and a lament to pay less tax!
Circa 1820-30
Approx - 5.5 inches (140mm) tall.
In good condition with a restored spout.
