Description:
A fantastic frog mug from Moore & Co of Sunderland. Pink lustre decoration and scrolls of flowers typical off this pottery with a black frog, red lips and eyes on the inside, a typical verse surrounded by sprig like coloured garland. The main scene is a wonderful scene of three disabled veterans, with various injuries, sitting around a drum toasting the Union flag. Sublime!
Circa 1860
Approx - 4.75 inches (120mm) tall.
In good condition save a stable crack from rim to middle of handle.
