"A visit from Richmond to Carlton House" featured on a Pearlware, satirical, nursery plate. It mocks the relationship between Maria Fitzherbert and George IV, a major scandal at the time. Dandy Horses were popular until around 1820 when they were banned by local councils as riders persistently collided with pedestrians on the pavements! Superb.
Circa 1819
Approx 6.75 (170mm) diameter.
In very good original condition.
