Spring and Langan Pugilist Plaques

A superb pair of Staffordshire, Pearlware plaques commemorating the iconic prizefight between pugilists Tom Spring and Jack Langan. Featuring full length portraits of the boxers in fighting stance with the ring ropes in the background, above their name. Very attractive with monochrome transfers and a deep black moulded frame.

Approx  6 inches (150mm) wide x 7.5 inches (190mm) tall - each plaque.

In good condition with a chip to the rear of the frame on the Langan plaque, not visible from the front, and a crude repair to the bottom right of the same plaque.
